When you sign in with Google, we store only your email address and a player handle you choose. We do not store your Google profile photo, full name, locale, or any other data from your Google account.
When you play, we store your submitted definitions, votes, and reactions.
Your email is used solely for account identification. Your handle is displayed to other players alongside your definitions. Votes and reactions power the game's ranking system.
Other players see only your handle — never your email. We do not sell, share, or provide your data to any third party.
We do not use tracking cookies, analytics pixels, or device fingerprinting. We do not log IP addresses in user records.
You can delete your account at any time from the Settings page. When you do, your votes and reactions are permanently deleted. Your past definitions are kept in the Fictionary but anonymized — your handle is replaced with "deleted_player" so they can no longer be traced back to you.
You can download all your data (handle, email, definitions, and votes) as a JSON file from the Settings page at any time.
If you have any questions about your data or privacy, reach out and we'll be happy to help.
